| Vasecto-who?! |
|
Remember our resilient little friend (or foe) the sperm? Think a vasectomy will get the best of him? Think again. Although a vasectomy is a clever and effective surgery, it is important to fully understand the in and outs (so to speak) of the recovery. A vasectomy works by cutting, tying, burning, clamping (or some variation or combination of these) the vas deferens—which are the roadway by which sperm travels from the testicles to the penis and then out to the world. What happens to that traffic jam of sperm that gets caught behind the road block? Don’t worry, it simple gets absorbed back into body. What you do need to worry about is what happens to those speed demons that snuck out ahead of the construction work. It takes about 20-30 ejaculations before all that sperm leaves, or about 16 days for the little suckers to die off. This means that you absolutely have to use a back-up contraceptive for a while until you are sure it’s safe to travel again. As for that feeling of masculinity, ego and pride that comes with a fully stocked load….don’t worry about a thing. Chances are you won’t even miss the sperm. Those little guys only made up about 5 to 10 percent of the creamy filling anyway. |
