I recently read an advice column where a woman asked whether or not it was possible to find lingerie that she would be comfortable and sexy in—having not bought any since her wedding night presumably years before.  As I sat there rereading the question with my mouth dropped open in surprise….it finally dawned on me that not everyone is familiar with the HUGE selection of sexy, sultry, flirty, fantasy clothes and lingerie out there.  Ok, I reasoned, not everyone gets emails from Victoria’s Secret and Fredericks of Hollywood. And I suppose it’s reasonable to assume not everyone uses an occasional lunch hour to run to the local mall searching for a special request item. 

What is not reasonable, however, is allowing fear to keep you in the dark.  Don’t think that lingerie is for model figures only.  Lingerie is for everyone! The trick is finding the part of you that makes you want to shake your booty.   If you don’t like your stomach, then hide it under a silky layer or transform its shape in structured fits. Then figure out what you do like and highlight that area instead.  If you like your chest but wish it were higher…then thank the lord for underwire and cups that mold.  Perhaps you have no problem with the height but wish it were fuller? Wish granted—grab something with a padded insert.  Heck you can even change the intensity level of your cleavage with a few clicks of a button found in specialty bras. 

Whatever your concern, think of it in terms of options not limitations. Try on things that you would have overlooked before.  Experiment and have fun with textures, shapes and details.  Do it for yourself. Your partner will benefit the most from a happy, confident you. And don’t forget that a lot of lingerie can stay on during sex.  You took a lot of effort to find the right lift so don’t think you have to drop all at the final moment.  Sexy pieces can add texture and play to an act that’s gone routine.
