Never underestimate the power of a note.  A quickly scribbled post-it can have as much effect as a carefully planned out sonnet.  Whether it’s love, lust or a little of both you’re after—remember that the pen is mightier than the sword (or in this case chocolate, flowers or jewelry but do feel free to keep those coming too please).

Remember our resilient little friend (or foe) the sperm?  Think a vasectomy will get the best of him? Think again.  Although a vasectomy is a clever and effective surgery, it is important to fully understand the in and outs (so to speak) of the recovery. 

In a woman's quest for the ultimate in birth control, she will most likely come across the IUD.  What she will find, however, is a bit confusing.  Copper or hormone? 5 years or 10 years? Bad period pain or possible side effects? I can't tell you which to choose if you do decide on using an IUD but maybe we can talk this out a bit and see if there is method in the madness.

Or rather, not so sperm-tastic depending on how you look at it.  Sperm can live for up to 7 days inside the vagina.  That's right, SEVEN days.  If you consider the fact that women are fertile for about 2-3 days a month, then this puts the odds of getting pregnant at about 9-10 days a month.  So say you and lover-boy have sex on Friday night, then you fast forward a week and drop an egg...yep you guessed it. That tricky little sperm is just lying in wait hungry for a match with your precious cargo.

Oral sex can be an exhilarating way to spice up the bedroom (or any room, car, desk or movie theatre you choose to do this in).  However, use caution when getting too close and personal during the cold/flu season.  That little cold sore or fever blister that paid your lips a visit may all too easily crash a party at your neighbors. 

Kissing is not to be overlooked.  That simple act of lips touching, tasting and exploring is exquisitely hot. Damn sexy, actually. Just think about it for a moment.  Allow your mind to remember your first kiss.  Ok, so maybe not those first kisses where you’re still just nervous about where to put your hands, whether or not your breath smells and are so inexperienced in the act itself that everything turns out slobbery and wet.  Remember instead that first perfectly passionate pucker of lips on lips that left your toes tingling and your mind at a loss for coherent thought.        

You know what I’m talking about…. the curve of the lips, the raise of the eyebrows, or the shift in body language that comes along with flirting. The way the object of your flirtation catches their breath, looks momentarily speechless or forgets themselves in a burst of laughter when a dirty little joke is shared.  This is the kind of interplay that leaves you feeling sexy, powerful and alive.

It’s not just latex anymore.  For any of you dear readers out who have a discomfort of all things latex—as in actual physical sensitivity to this material—I wanted to take a moment and make sure you knew that toys have come a long way.  If you happen to already use and love latex then bravo, enjoy and many happy returns. The problem comes when a person is sensitive to this material and what should be a fun roll in the hay becomes a gut wrenching nauseating experience that leaves you wanting to stay the hell away from the barn.

I recently read an advice column where a woman asked whether or not it was possible to find lingerie that she would be comfortable and sexy in—having not bought any since her wedding night presumably years before.  As I sat there rereading the question with my mouth dropped open in surprise….it finally dawned on me that not everyone is familiar with the HUGE selection of sexy, sultry, flirty, fantasy clothes and lingerie out there.  Ok, I reasoned, not everyone gets emails from Victoria’s Secret and Fredericks of Hollywood. And I suppose it’s reasonable to assume not everyone uses an occasional lunch hour to run to the local mall searching for a special request item.
